Axis of Time

Chaotic randomness
Of elements of life,
Turns into a straight line
Over the axis of time

Screeching motion
Stranded quietness
Fast lanes
Submissive verges
Shattered wings
Not so simple souls
Yearn for peace

For he who flew
Apparently –
Breaking shackles
Created foot prints
And passes
On the sands of time
The golden letters blew
Blown over by the tides
Winds of age
Smudged, vanishing
The prints, and the feet.

3. Title - BHANWAR (No. 5 in the Series)

I would appreciate your feedback - AKB

SHRIEKS OF SILENCE

(This is not a poem. It is a thought that has disturbed me over the years. I have often wondered why He is so silent while these opportunists are making fool of the man on the street, fueling passions and sowing hatred. Here He includes HIM as well as the victims of voilence).
SHRIEKS OF SILENCE

He was so quiet, So motionless , So invisible
That some people thought he did not exist at all
He lived on the outskirts of
A godforsaken town
In a house that no one noticed
Yet he was perceived by different people
In different ways
Some thought he was strong like a rock
Others saw Him as shapeless
Yet others looked for Him in
Cellulosic sheets smeared with black
He was so quiet, So motionless , So invisible
That some people thought he did not exist at all

He was sung, He was honored
He was decorated, He was revered
He fueled the imagination of man
He inspired the music, He lighted the way
He energized the weak, He enriched the poor
He was trusted as strongest of all
He was so quiet, So motionless , So invisible
That some people thought he did not exist at all

He was shared piece by piece
There was a piece that belonged to Ae’s
There was a piece that was of Be’s
Then there were pieces with Cees, Dees, et el
He was so quiet, So motionless , So invisible
That some people thought he did not exist at all

He was quiet and He was alone
Shattered into thousand pieces
He was sad and so vulnerable
The house on the outskirt
Of the godforsaken town
Was noticed by Ae’s, Bee’s, Cee’s and Dee’s
In a melee to grab His crown
They brought the house down in a big fall
He was so quiet, So motionless , So invisible
That some people thought he did not exist at all

His blood was all over
Though He was no where to be seen
On the deaf ears of Ae’s, Bee’s, Cee’s and dee’s
His silent shrieks didn’t fall
He was so quiet, So motionless , So invisible
That some people thought he did not exist at all.

My first poem in over 30 years

TREES & CROW

Trees and Crow
In tandem don't grow
But bind them together
The winds that blow

Sunrises and Sunsets
Incessantly rhyme
Life starts and ends
They continue to flow

Tides of emotions
Bubbles in the air
Wonders of life
Burn inside and outside

Guards of materials
And keepers of time
May carry the mountains
Or smiles sublime

Smile of a single cheek
Twitching of an eye
Mischiefs of a moment
fade with a bye.

(This poem was written in the dead of a night, when I got up and wrote it in matter of a couple of minutes, as if taking dictation. - AKB)
